2709-S Office Building and Infrastructure Design for 222-S Laboratory Complex

VNSFS teamed with Akana to design a new building compliant to DOE’s Guiding Principles for High Performance Sustainable Buildings (HPSB) with supporting infrastructure including a wastewater system. The new 2709-S building (17,600 sq ft) on a developed site (126,000 sq ft) replaced the 60-year-old 2704-S building (8,000 sq ft) and resolved surrounding area drainage issues. The team supported procurement, construction and commissioning.
